Meet the pastor

Rev. Dr. Tiffany Malone

A Trailblazer in Ministry and Leadership

Rev. Dr. Tiffany Malone is a dynamic and visionary leader who is making history as the first woman appointed to serve as Pastor of Macedonia AME Church in Camden, New Jersey. Her appointment by Bishop Julius Harrison McAllister, Sr. marks a significant moment in the church’s rich history, reflecting her unwavering dedication to faith, service, and community empowerment.

Nearly a decade ago, Rev. Dr. Malone answered the call to ministry, embarking on a journey of theological education and spiritual leadership. She was ordained an African Methodist Episcopal Church Itinerant Deacon in 2018 and later an Elder in 2020. Since 2021, she has faithfully pastored across the Philadelphia and New Jersey Annual Conferences, making a lasting impact in each congregation she has served.

Her pastoral journey began at Bethlehem AME Church in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, where she led the congregation to significant growth, overseeing facility improvements and securing a Homeless Project Grant to expand the church’s Food Ministry. At Campbell AME Church in Woodbury, New Jersey, she continued her legacy of transformative leadership by securing an educational grant to provide school supplies for local children and leading the church to pay off its $25,000 mortgage. She later served as pastor of Mount Zion AME Church in Riverton, NJ, before stepping into her historic role at Macedonia AME Church.

Rev. Dr. Malone is deeply committed to preaching, teaching, and interceding for others, believing that true ministry is measured by lives transformed. “Where I minister, I see people come to Christ. There is no greater joy than witnessing souls—young and old—accept Jesus Christ.”

Her academic achievements are equally impressive. Before entering full-time ministry, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Pre-Law from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. She furthered her education with a Master of Science in College Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Master of Divinity from United Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. Committed to deepening her understanding of church leadership, she earned her Doctor of Ministry degree from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC, with a dissertation titled “Mental Illness: African Americans Coming Out of Our Closet.” She graduated in May 2021.

A native of Buffalo, New York, Rev. Dr. Malone is the proud daughter of Rose and the late James Malone. She cherishes time with her family despite their geographic distance, holding firm to the importance of connection and love.

Each day, Rev. Dr. Malone seeks to be transformed by God, standing firmly on the words of Proverbs 3:6—

“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Her life’s work is a testament to faith in action, breaking barriers, and leading with unwavering devotion to God’s calling.
