The Women’s Missionary Society is to witness

The Women's Missionary Society: A Call to Witness and Advocate The Women’s Missionary Society is dedicated to actively participating in the ministry of the church beyond its congregation, extending its reach to serve the community with compassion and purpose. Through witness, the society engages with local organizations and agencies to provide essential services, ensuring that those in need receive care, support, and resources.

As advocates, members work tirelessly to bring about meaningful change, challenging systems and structures that exclude and alienate. They are committed to promoting peace and justice, standing as a voice for the marginalized, and striving for a more equitable and united community. Guided by faith and a heart for service, the Women’s Missionary Society embodies the mission of Christ—empowering lives, strengthening communities, and making a lasting impact in the world.

The Young Peoples’ Department (YPD) is designed to train young people for leadership in the Missionary Society. It gives young people the opportunity to become involved in the outreach activities of their church.

The Young People’s Department (YPD) is a dynamic training ground designed to equip young individuals with leadership skills and a heart for service within the Missionary Society. Through mentorship, education, and hands-on outreach opportunities, YPD empowers youth to grow spiritually, develop a sense of responsibility, and actively engage in their church’s mission. By participating in various ministry and community service activities, young people gain valuable experience in leadership, teamwork, and faith-based service, preparing them to become strong, compassionate leaders in their churches and communities.

The Lay Organization’s purpose is to instill in its membership a love and appreciation for the history, traditions and principles of African Methodism; advocate respect for and loyalty to authority; encourage the support of the total program of the local church; foster systematic and regular study of AME Church and parliamentary procedure.

The Lay Organization of the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church is dedicated to cultivating a deep love and appreciation for the rich history, traditions, and foundational principles of African Methodism among its members. Committed to promoting respect for and loyalty to church leadership, the organization actively encourages the full support and engagement of its members in the total ministry of the local church. Additionally, it fosters systematic and regular study of AME Church doctrine, history, and parliamentary procedures, equipping members with the knowledge and skills needed to serve effectively within the church and community. Through education, advocacy, and active participation, the Lay Organization strengthens the spiritual and organizational life of the AME Church.

The Church School is a major teaching and training agency of the AME Church. Its mission is to teach, train and nurture adults, young adults, college students, teenagers and young children to God’s Word, preparing them for Christian service by emphasizing Christian principles.

The purpose of the church’s Music Ministry Program is to train, strengthen and develop current and future generations of musicians in the traditions of the AME Church.

Rooted in a deep legacy of worship and spiritual expression, this program seeks to cultivate musical excellence, leadership, and a heart for ministry. Whether through vocal or instrumental training, this program nurtures a spirit of worship, unity, and service, ensuring that the power of music continues to uplift and inspire future generations.
